Tipsybuns, is a specialty bakery creating adult infused treats in the form of a cinnamon bun. Each bun is cooked with one shot of liquor in the glaze. Glazes and toppings array from salted caramel to southern peach cobbler flavored.

what’s a bun?
The inspiration of TIpsybuns came from Chef Ashley’s love of stickybuns. Cinnamon rolls vs. sticky buns: what's the difference? Cinnamon rolls traditionally have a delicious creamy frosting which Tipsybuns creates traditional flavored buns. However, sticky buns are smothered in a rich caramel texture glaze.Even though Chef Ashley loves them all, sticky buns are her favorite. She finally settled on a dough that is a perfect combination of buttery flavor and flaky layers. Labor overhead is kept low by importing our dough from France. The process of creating dough typically takes 2-3 days for the proofing and lamination process. Ashley found a brand that specializes in creating high-quality products in a short amount of time.

the story
Tipsybuns were genuinely an experiment. Chef Ashley would keep cinnamon roll dough on hand at her home since she had a sweet tooth. She occasionally gets a yearning for the sticky buns she used to make at her previous employment. While preparing to welcome a house full of guests for brunch, the host decided to bake a batch of sticky buns. While baking, she had the idea to make a sticky bun glaze instead of standard frosting. As she was gathering her glaze ingredients, she noticed a bottle of cognac on her bar. That's when she had the idea to add cognac to the glaze. After the buns were placed, minutes elapsed.
at first bite they were a hit days and weeks went by; the guests were telling everyone about their Tipsybun experience. Before long Chef Ashley began selling buns on the go. Nights of chef baking until 2am because people were ordering at all times of day and night. After a few name changes she thought of the perfect name, Tipsybuns.

Chef Ashley's career has progressed from prep cook to executive chef at some of Dallas' most exclusive restaurants. Chef Ashley's is ready to create her own stamp in Dallas' culinary market with her several concepts. Tipsybuns is only one of several.
